Method/steps for removing scale from water-cooled condenser
1、 Check the scaling situation
There are usually several manifestations of condenser scaling:
1. Cleaning solution can be added to the cooling water system in a certain proportion, and the cooling pump can be turned on to circulate for 12-24 hours. The cleaning solution continues to circulate, and the sediment layer is continuously dissolved and peeled off by the chemical and flushing effects of the cleaning solution. However, this method requires a large amount of cleaning solution and is costly.
2. For cleaning a single condenser, a circulation pump and pipeline can be connected between the cleaning storage tank and the condenser to form a closed loop, allowing the cleaning solution to circulate continuously for 12-24 hours to dissolve and detach the sediment.
3. Adopting soaking method. Mix the cleaning solution in a certain proportion, add it to the condenser and let it stand for 5-10 hours to soften and dissolve the sediment. Drain the cleaning solution and rinse with clean water.
I can't see the original color of the copper tube anymore, and the scaling is already very serious. It needs to be cleaned and treated in a timely manner.
The main reason for the formation of scale is that calcium and magnesium ions in cooling water crystallize and precipitate in the form of salts when heated, and condense on the inner wall of copper pipes; Metal oxidation products in system pipelines; Mud and other substances that breed bacteria and algae.
2、 Chemical cleaning method
Use cleaning solution for cleaning, first clean with acid solution, then neutralize and clean with alkali solution, and finally rinse with clean water to remove the acid and alkali solution.

How to remove scale from water-cooled condenser
The advantages of chemical cleaning: thorough descaling; Save manpower.
Disadvantages of chemical cleaning: may cause corrosion to the copper tubes of the condenser; The issue of waste liquid discharge after cleaning; The cost of medication is relatively high.
During chemical cleaning, it is important to pay attention to the solution ratio, circulation, and soaking time to prevent corrosion of the condenser.

3、 Physical cleaning method
The physical cleaning method uses a soft shaft brush for cleaning. The flexible shaft is driven to rotate by the motor of the cleaning machine. There is a nylon brush at the front of the flexible shaft. When in use, the flexible shaft and brush are inserted into the copper tube of the condenser, and the dirt inside the copper tube is removed by the high-speed rotating brush. Finally, rinse with clean water.
The advantages of physical cleaning: saving the cost of chemicals required for chemical cleaning; Avoiding the problem of waste liquid discharge or treatment after chemical cleaning; Not easy to cause corrosion of condenser copper pipes.
Disadvantages of physical cleaning: For hard scales and corrosion products with strong adhesion, the effect of physical cleaning is not good; Cleaning operations are quite labor-intensive.
